the process
I start by making tubes of clay, called ‘canes’, with multiple clay colors and patterns running through their length (like a sushi roll). I arrange and layer the colors in the clay to make the designs. Canes are then sliced, combined and placed in various molds. They’re baked to create the final pieces.
